Alleged forgery: Saraki, Ekweremadu's case postponed to September 28th.
The alleged forgery case against Senate President Bukola Saraki, his
deputy Ike Ekweremadu and two others has been postponed to September
28th. According to officials at the Federal High Court Abuja, the case
could not be heard today due to the annual recess of the Judiciary.
Six suspected members of Boko Haram nabbed in Lagos.
Six suspected members of terrorist group, Boko Haram, were arrested by
members of a civilian joint task force in Lagos over the weekend.
Parading the suspects before newsmen yesterday July 10th, the head of
the civilian joint task force, Mustpaha Mohammed, who is also the head
of Kanuris in Lagos, said three of the suspects - Goigoi Kamsalem,
Ibrahim Mohammed both from Bama and Abubakar Ahmed of Baga council areas
in Borno were apprehended at a hideout in Victoria Island,

More and more facts have been uncovered on how the
fraudsters involved in the $414,200 scam at the Central Bank of Nigeria
(CBN) were arrested by security operatives.
The CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Ifeanyi
Emefiele, recently suspended the Deputy Governor, Financial System
Stability, Dr. Okwu J. Nnanna, and four deputy directors over the
incident.

President Buhari Leaves for Equatorial Guinea for Talks on Maritime Security
In continuation of the federal
government’s efforts to achieve greater security of lives, resources and
investments in all parts of Nigeria and its sub-region, President
Muhammadu Buhari will today travel to Malabo for talks with President
Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea on further measures to
protect the people and resources of the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea.

Over the weekend, there were reports that the Nigerian Minister of Information
and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said that the Federal Government had lost
control of the Nigerian economy. The reports alleged that he said this
while fielding questions from a radio station in Abuja.
However, Lai Mohammed who was a guest on Channels TV this morning, said
the report is totally false.
Deputy Governor Of The CBN, 4 Others suspeneded by Emefiele Over Fraud.
In a hard-line decision, a deputy
governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and four deputy directors have been
suspended by the apex bank Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, for failing to
follow financial regulations and due process, leading to the scamming
of the bank by fraudsters.
THISDAY gathered last night that the
suspended Deputy Governor, Financial System Surveillance, Joseph Nnanna,
responded to
Nigerians complaining of hardship are PDP loyalists –Dr Chris Ngige
Nigeria's Minister of Labor and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, says Nigerians who are
complaining of hardship in this present administration are PDP
loyalists. According to Ngige, this government which will be marking

Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki
has reiterated the commitment of the current Senate to supporting the
Buhari administration’s fight against corruption, saying “under my watch
the Senate will never cover corruption except if the information didn’t
